Aritra Majumder is a Kolkata-based artist born in 1992 in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. He holds an MFA in Painting from The University of Hyderabad and a BFA in Painting from Kala-Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University. His drawing-based works revolve around geometry, patterns, uncertainty, and heredity. Aritra was selected for the second award at the annual All-India open call awards and exhibition Imaginarium 3.0 at Emami Art Kolkata 2023. He has participated in several workshops and exhibitions including the IMAGINARIUM 3.0 at Emami Art, Kolkata, 2023; Ravi Jain Foundation Annual Award in 2022 and the Annual Santiniketan Artists Exhibition in 2019.

The Artist works and resides in Kolkata.
